Every parent can agree that when you have children things change; your schedule, priorities, hobbies, etc. Sometimes having children means putting your own needs/wants aside for a short time, and that’s ok! We have to cut ourselves a break here and there and give ourselves some time to adjust and adapt. - Time. Now I know that sounds crazy, right? How can you go to school, begin a new career, AND have more time for your children? The thing is, parents who are struggling economically or are stressed about their work situation can tend to not have as much time for their child[ren]. They tend to worry more and have a tougher time focusing on the present. So, the thought here is if you are happy with your job and are more financially stable, you should not worry as much and have more positive energy to focus on your baby[ies].
- Bragging rights. This one comes out a little silly, but if you think about it, it is true. Your child[ren] will be able to check “College Degree” on those standardized tests when asked about their parents’ education. They will be proud of what you have accomplished and will understand the importance of an education.
All in all, what I am trying to emphasize here is that continuing your education would not only influence your future, but also your child[ren]’s. Isn’t that what being a mom is all about?
